His wife, Wendy Tan, who is also a registered migration agent, ably assists James in his work. She was for nearly 20 years working as an analyst programmer for the National Electricity Company of Malaysia. She found an interest in immigration work in early 2000 and later enrolled for the Australian Immigration Law and Practice Training Course conducted by the University of New South Wales in Sydney. She completed her training in August 2003 and obtained the Grade of Distinction for her efforts.
